Venture Taranaki have notched up another accolade, being crowned the Best Performing Region in New Zealand at the Regional Business Partner network annual conference and awards event in Nelson.

“The award acknowledges the region who has consistently delivered outstanding performance across the year, both in terms of delivering the Regional Business Partner and Business Mentor New Zealand services, and a positive customer experience,” said Jacinda Swain, Regional Business Partner Manager, NZ Trade and Enterprise.

“In winning the Region of the Year Award, Venture Taranaki have made a significant contribution to the growth and innovation of the region’s enterprises.”

In the twelve months to the end of June, Venture Taranaki’s enterprise team issued over $2.3 million in research and development grants, made 45 Business Mentor matches, and issued 206 New Zealand Trade and Enterprise Capability Development Vouchers directly to local enterprises, valued at almost $350,000.

In total, Venture Taranaki had over 6,000 client interactions over that period, and the annual client satisfaction survey found 95.6% of customers were either satisfied or very satisfied with VT staff.

“I’m delighted to see this recognition of Venture Taranaki and our team,” says VT's General Manager Business, Partnership and Skills Michelle Jordan.

“This award recognises that Taranaki has a very passionate, committed, and effective team working on their behalf to facilitate growth at enterprise level.”
