Next month Venture Taranaki along with six innovative food producers are joining forces to showcase Taranaki at New Zealand’s largest food show – the Auckland Food Show.

Taranaki will have its very own zone at the Show - the Taste of Taranaki Collective - and has secured a prime spot at the event, which spans four days and attracts the who’s who of the culinary world, trade, celebrity cooks and over 30,000 visitors.
The aim is to showcase Taranaki on the national stage as a food region, provide our up and coming producers with brand exposure and allow them the opportunity to forge inroads with their national and international distribution channels, and gain important feedback from consumers.
The attending producers vary from Honey, to BBQ meats, beer and native superfoods, and are representative of Taranaki’s diverse food offering.
“Taranaki has some exciting and innovative offerings in food and beverage, and it’s important to share this message with the rest of New Zealand and champion ourselves and our food production, says Venture Taranaki Chief Executive Justine Gilliland.

Food production is serious business in Taranaki, contributing $1.2Billion to our economy and circa 10,000 jobs (from farm to food processing). That is one in five Taranaki jobs are involved in the primary sector through to food production.
The attending food producers are representative of Taranaki’s Future Foods, and the creation of high-value branded food items, that offer significant growth potential for the Taranaki region.
The Auckland Food show will run July 25-28 at ASB showground, and you will find the Taste of Taranaki Collective zone, at stand N16. Venture Taranaki will also be promoting our presence across social media, and there will be some great prizes up for grab. Be sure the follow our Facebook and Instagram to be in to win.
