Our February hui was hosted by Legal Solutions in New Plymouth, and we had some lively kōrero.

More than 30 people turned out for the networking hui on 22 February at Legal Solutions, to discuss The Trials and Tribulations of Starting a Business.  Our host Karen Venables set the scene with an inspiring kōrero around leadership and the importance of values in a business.  She then invited each attendee to talk about the one legal issue they worry about the most.  Topics included:
  • Employment contracts, and the pitfalls of the 90-day trial period
  • Health & safety obligations for small business
  • Intellectual property relating to Māori culture and artwork

If you are interested in finding out more about these topics, there are some useful links copies below, or you can contact Karen and the team directly.
