The Curious Minds Participatory Science Platform in Taranaki still has a limited amount of funding remaining in the 2018 round of investment.

The PSP supports community-driven projects which are scientifically robust, educationally valuable, and focussed on locally relevant research.
Key points:
  • Any community group can apply including (but not limited to) schools, kura, hapu, clubs, trusts, and businesses.
  • Groups can apply for up to $20,000 excl. GST per project
  • Projects should aim to be completed by May 2019
  • Seed funding of up to $1,000 excl. GST is also available to help applicants access expertise not otherwise available to them during the application process.
How does the application process work?
  1. Contact VT and fill out an initial idea form 
  2. VT will support you and help connect you to the appropriate science/technology/community/education partners
  3. Work with VT and project collaborators to develop a project application
  4. Submit full application ASAP
  5. Decision panel to review your application
  6. Successful applicants notified and contracts signed!
